Our Vision

The Father in heaven sent his son, Jesus Christ, to seek and to rescue those who are lost. (This means you and me!) Jesus lived, died and rose from the dead for that purpose. Before he ascended into heaven, he told those that he had rescued that he would give them the power through the Holy Spirit to continue doing, as his church, what he had come to do. Our vision is to carry on the ministry Jesus left to us, to seek and to rescue the lost. And, just as Jesus transformed, trained and sent the rescued to rescue others, we seek to do that in our community.

The Vision of Our Christian Fellowship Church

Evangelism: We believe that ever person who believes in Jesus as Lord and Savior should share the gospel, more than just at church, to their friends, family, and neighbors. This is the foundation of the Great Commission. Mark 16:15 says “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” We believe that this is as much personal evangelism as well as the church outreaching, as a whole, to the community.

World Evangelism: We understand that not every person can go in to all the world. However, Gods vision is to reach every nation. Matthew 28: 19 says “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” We believe that our calling as a local church, if not to go, is to pray, support, invest, train, and send workers into all nations.

The Local Church: God has placed everything necessary to accomplish His Will in the setting of the local Christian church. Ephesians 1:22-23 says “And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” God’s will is accomplished in us and through us as we connect and commit ourselves to a local Christian church. Each member of the church body, to form a whole, has an important role to play in the local church.

Conversion: Making the decision to turn to Jesus, in faith, is very personal. However, we witness, testify, and preach to give those an opportunity to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Salvation is a powerful experience and a powerful gift that comes freely to those who repent and believe. The beauty about salvation is you don’t have to be good enough. Jesus came to seek sinners (you and I) and loves us just as we are. 1 Peter 1:23 says “having been born again, not of [a]corruptible seed but [b]incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides [c]forever,” Come and be transformed by the power of God seeing and hearing testimonies of a Savior that gives Love, Hope, Grace, and Forgiveness.

Discipleship: Jesus calls us to Him, to train and equip us for His plan for our lives within the setting of a local church. Matthew 28: 19 says “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” This is the highest calling for a Pastor and congregation.

Church Planting: Our discipleship training has resulted in many couples being sent into other cities and nations to plant churches and raise up congregations, reproducing Gods vision in new areas. Matthew 9:37-38 says “Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
